Sam Hodde/Getty ImagesThe Dallas Cowboys will be without star quarterback Dak Prescott for the remainder of the season after he suffered a hamstring injury in Week 9. They made it
official and placed him on season-ending injured reserve on Monday, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.Prescott, who signed a four-year, $240 million contract extension before
the start of the season, did not have the year he had hoped for, even before the season-ending injury. In eight games, he had 1,978 passing yards, 11 touchdowns and eight
interceptions as Dallas started the season 3-5. That was a slight decline from last year, when he threw for 4,516 passing yards, 36 touchdowns and nine interceptions. There's
nothing Prescott can do now to improve his 2024 numbers, but he will look to come back stronger and potentially lead the Cowboys to a big year in 2025.In the meantime, Dallas is
without Prescott and is trying to salvage its disastrous start to the year. The Cowboys fell to 3-6 after last week's loss to the Philadelphia Eagles and face a tough test Monday
night against the Houston Texans. With Prescott out, the Cowboys have turned to Cooper Rush, a seven-year veteran who has spent his career playing behind Prescott. His first start
of the season was dismal, as he completed 13 of his 23 pass attempts for just 45 yards and lost two fumbles. The team could also give Trey Lance snaps, especially if losses pile up.
